When and how did the character of the Guzzler develop?



The Guzzler was born in early January 2008 when he was part of a fam called Serving The Almighty (STA), doing outreach work, workshops and Krump sessions. In 2009 the character was  exercised even more and introduced to the Cape Town KRUMP WORLD. The Guzzler became part of the  Royal Fam Kings (RFK) in 2011  and grew as a part of the RFK bloodline.



The character of the Guzzler came into being because of the way Lee-Shane Booysen (the Big Homie) interpreted KRUMP. Lee-Shane would Krump and listen to various Krump songs and beats that were available at the time. He was more attracted to the abstract sounding songs and beats, particularly the Willy Wonka Krump song.  The lyrics that stood out the most was a repeated phrase that went "Guzzle guzzle down down". Lee-Shane wanted to know what this word 'guzzle' means and did some research. The word guzzle means to consume without stopping with greed and intent. He would then compare the meaning to his movement within the dance. The movement that would come from Lee-Shane was big, hard and almost animalistic at times.



 The Guzzler started out as a monster like creature that would consume the spirits that cause harm to GOD's people. The energy Krump resonates means there’s always change and the character one has would need that change, become more in-depth almost like a story, it would make the dance so much more meaningful.



The Guzzler was then named tha Chief, like a nomad Indian that was on a journey to seek the spirits that destroyed his family and land. His inner light when faced with an evil spirit will transform him into the Guzzler, the monster that consumes evil spirits. He wears a feather as a sign of power ,strength and spiritually. The Guzzler is in search of a family and together as they  unite they will free the worldly of their torment.
