The Inspiration and Passion to Krump was brought by through a Movie called “RIZE” watched by ADAM WILLIAMS aka BIG WAR and NASHWIN DAVIDS aka TWINN WAR aka BIG WOLF in 2005 and they both started KRUMPING in 2006, meeting in high school they became 2 of the foundation members of ROYAL FAM KINGS (RFK). 

    
ROYAL FAM KINGS were created as an exclusive Krump FAM in August 2009 by Cape Town Krump's most active and committed Krumpers to truly start the Cape Town Krump Movement. The initial members came together in an attempt to properly represent and push the movement of Krump in Cape Town. ROYAL FAM KINGS immediately started entering all Krump events and quickly established themselves as the first exclusive Krump FAM in Cape Town, whether performing at shows, entering battles, hosting Krump sessions, teaching, or community outreach RFK seeks to continually push the Krump movement in Cape Town. Within the structure of RFK new members are selected not on the basis of skill and dance ability and there are no auditions to join RFK, new members are instead selected on the basis of their potential, commitment and passion. Potential new members spend time with the RFK Fam and in this process relationships are formed as we are a Fam (FAMILY) and not a dance crew so this is crucial in becoming a part of RFK as the PARENT BODY.

In growing the KRUMP MOVEMENT in CAPE TOWN under the structure of  RFK as a parent body we have established other FAMS, such as THE WAR FAM, WOLF FAM, GUZZLER FAM, SNIPE FAM, ASSASSIN FAM, BIZURK FAM, KRATOS FAM, SABER FAM and the REBIRTH FAM over the past 4 years.

The 15 members of RFK are from all over the Cape Flats but RFK has set up OFFICE at the home of RFK manager Bevil Hendricks in Ottery which has become the base for the Fam. RFK member’s ages range from 13-30. In an attempt to greater develop and grow the Krump community in Cape Town, RFK established CFC (CHOSEN FOR CHRIST) in October 2012 being THE FIRST ALL FEMALE KRUMP FAM in the WORLD who consist of 8 members and in January 2013 RFJ (ROYAL FAM JUNIORS) THE FIRST JUNIOR KRUMP FAM in the WORLD was established, which consist of 4 Junior Male Krumpers (U/17).  As a KRUMP Fam RFK dances to KRUMP music (which is an exclusive genre of music specifically created for Krumpers) from artists such as Tight Eyez, 300, B-Dash, DJ Krump, Lil Millie, Boi N’ Yitty, Plan B & Konkrete.  Royal Fam Kings are inspired to always spread the movement of Krump. Gaining new members, experience and connections after every event ROYAL FAM KINGS have kept moving from strength to strength in each and every event they participate in. We want to break false misconceptions and stereotypes associated with Krump dance and show and educate people about what principles of true Krump is. ROYAL FAM KINGS strives to remain the best KRUMP FAM in CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA and AFRICA and BEYOND and to keep spreading the movement of Krump by BUILDING A KRUMP NATION, educating the youth about this movement and to always remain true to the roots and principles of KRUMP. RFK with CONVERSE are creating a platform where our YOUTH are able to use KRUMP and other genres of STREET DANCE such as (BBOYING, POPPING, HOUSE & ALL STYLES) as an alternative to all the NEGATIVE elements that are currently available to the youth. Community outreach is very important to RFK knowing the circumstances within the Cape Flats RFK strives to positively impact and motivated the youth of the Cape Flats. As the first generation of KRUMPERS in CAPE TOWN RFK is passionate about leaving a legacy of KRUMP within CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA, AFRICA and BEYOND by BUILDING A KRUMP NATION that will allow the movement of KRUMP to always continue to GROW and PROGRESS.
